The silos showed chalking, rust spotting and failed coating at seams after years of sun exposure. Our lift-certified crew cleaned each silo, mechanically prepared rusted areas, spot-primed with an epoxy primer and applied a white urethane topcoat chosen for UV resistance and heat reflection.
We worked from articulating boom lifts with full fall protection under a site-specific safety plan, and coordinated with plant operations each morning so loading and maintenance access were never blocked. Scope: Washing and mechanical surface prep; epoxy spot priming at seams and rust; aliphatic urethane topcoat; lift work with site safety plan. Completed October 2024.
